Solaris Urbino 18 air-conditioned bus from Berlin to Dresden to visit!

actually wanted I now only once from one end of town to the other end, and I thought earlier on the hot bus (about 30 degrees outside). But then everything changed ...


As I waited at the bus stop Tännichtstraße came at a time no yellow bus of DVB around the corner, but a white bus (with the headlights). Then I thought, what's going on now. And when I start, I thought, man, but here it is pleasantly cool inside. Well, the bus had air conditioning!

The DVB (Dresden Transport) have installed that is not in their modern buses (Mercedes-Benz, Solaris, MAN) or in their new trams (Bombardier Transportation Bautzen) air conditioning. Because there are probably quite a nice extra in the acquisition, maintenance and servicing, you have no longer completely on a cooling system, and try for example with an optimized ventilation in the more recent tram models of the warm air in the warm (hot) Dresdner summer Lord!

But I want to make it short, at least today I was sitting in a comfortable temperature (cooled) bus line 61 of Weissig after Löbtau, and as I got out I had then immediately called the DVB and informed them that they could make such buses often drive here in Dresden. So, I mean vehicles with air conditioning. The friendly woman at the service line with the Dresden Transport promised to pass on my "recommendation".

A few months ago I was sitting once in a "short" Solarisbus in which they had also installed an air conditioning system (which was not yet in operation). The driver told me then to demand that you (try to) an air conditioning system in various models fitted subsequently. I think that would also be useful here in our hot area!

The bus today was certainly a Berlin label. I do not think that it is of the LPP, but I can even write a few times as Berlin, but rather a Vorführbus or the like directly from Solaris.

I'm still sad, made not even a photo.

But then came the hammer!

On the return trip, I was annoyed at first that the 61 in which I joined at a breakpoint chasing an "indenter" was, and I must at the next stop, get off again unless I wanted to go to the depot Gruna ( I was there once already and I have a Solaris Urbino 18 articulated twice to directed the halls, but that's another story), but should that the next bus will have about 4 minutes later, when I was at the bus stop, put me at ease.

I was thrilled but then came back just as this bus around the corner, with whom I have just been driven added. Wow, so lucky, with so many buses just two times a day to catch the person who has air conditioning! In Constance, Germany (where I lived 2006), the chance was much higher because only the older Mercedes models there was no air conditioning, but here in Dresden today it was like two 6-the lottery!

Since I had some more time I'm at my exit stop by to the last stop after driving Weissig at Dresden, there to take pictures and videos:

Not enough? Ok, then enjoy a second and slightly longer length from just outside Weissig (stop: On Stone Cross) to Dresden just for Ullersdorfer place in Dresden-Bühlau where I get off the bus and movies from the outside. Accidental nor is a 45 meter long tram that does not fit into the lens of my camera phone, as long it is. But see for yourself:

Maybe yes my little one report in Charge of the DVB, and anywhere they might find a way yet to equip their vehicles (in the future) with air conditioning.

PS. Oh, I've almost forgot to mention. I have the impression that the engine a little more work to do if the air conditioner is on (the engine sounds a little strained than usual), but I realize as a passenger, thanks to 310 hp engine power not lost while driving.
