New tram in Dresden found on test drive (possibly the 2839)
Hello!
On my way to the city of Bühlau inside me came shortly after a regular Tram line 11 towards a second train, which made me suspicious. But then I saw the display test stand, and if I saw correctly, it was 2839, so the 39th 45-meter track for Dresden. Then fourth is still missing And if they are working in Bautzen more quickly, perhaps as early as February in any here in Dresden. There currently seem to about 2 cars per month for Dresden instead produce as before about one.
If I catch it again, there is here in my blog to see a picture of the 2839th
Greetings from Dresden by
Rolf Schreiter
Addendum 27 December 2009:
now I have the 2839 seen in regular service on the line 11.

43 pictures around the tram line 11 in Dresden during the over 14-month full closure for the new Waldschlösschenbrücke 2008/2009
Hello dear tram Hobby!
give now, as promised a few pictures from my personal collection that relate to the tram 11 in Dresden by Zschertnitz after Bühlau. Especially the time to full closure of the route from September 2008 to November 2009 I see here in chronological order.
To enlarge photos click on it. This is sometimes also necessary, because otherwise you do not see important details!
With a few exceptions (where it originates but from the text) always comes first, the image and including follows the caption to date.
My photos do not show up all facets of the construction period, but I think they are still quite interesting. It starts with a few pictures I have not done before the full closure:
On Jan 15, 2008, the railway while until Bühlau, but the opponents of the necessary tree felling for road widening in the vicinity of the new Waldschlösschenbrücke (including Robin Wood) trying to protect the trees (one especially large and old trees they occupy a kind of tree house), thus freeing the police special forces in the early morning, the trees, following the failure of the city the day before managed to fell the trees without police intervention. Also demonstrate that even the opponents on the road so that all traffic comes to a standstill and I (like so many others who wanted to work that morning) may run the entire route. Before my car were still 3 more in traffic.
On 12 September 2007, a few months before, the place where the Waldschlösschenbrücke out should still untouched. To me this seems rather dull corner, so I do not think the loss in return for a new Elbe crossing at this point so bad. Especially since I no longer make the detour by ferry must, which bears some 100 yards down the river Elbe.
On 26 March 2008, with the white advertisement for a Samsung phone stuck on 11 in slightly wintry landscape tinged white to go astray. Namely, the Hugo-Bürkner Street because once again on the actual route Zschertnitz is built. The driver must here make the switch by hand and leaves to the straight path. In the second picture he has finally made it and reset the web (right) from where he can again go to Bühlau. This track stub is used only in an emergency for such cases. In the past there is a tram line ran down to the next Wilhelm-Franke-Str. For many years the railway tracks but are now no longer available.
On 21 July 2008 after 20 clock at night is the (tram) depot Bühlau still connected to the track network.
Nine months before (photo 2 November 2007), they started all parked Tatra units to withdraw. As is this three-part unit moves just as likely to have their old fellow her last trip (just behind the depot Bühlau, which is just right after the pedestrian traffic light). Many Dresdner Tatra cars were scrapped are, or they could still sell in the (Eastern European) countries. Some of them are still used on special occasions, or run as long as the line of duty until the spring of 2010, the last ordered low-floor trams replaced from Bautzen arrive (of type NGTD 12DD) and all remaining Tatra cars. Currently they have their second bloom as a line E3 (or 3) on the line after the Wild Man Coschütz or Dresden-Plauen as support vehicles. There, they are also used as a three-piece set, where each car is motorized! Something I have not seen it in Dresden. With 3 cars were driven so far only the two first. Therefore, today agreed on 30 November, 2009 many photographers put up in order to get a rare item in the line 3 in Dresden before the lens. I already had this luck before a few days twice
But on the 11th to the line For now it is serious!
Friday 19 September 2008. It's over!
The last tram lasting over a year before the total closure of the line 11 will clock the passengers scheduled to 17:37. Then by 17 clock 40 follows even the first bus of the Replacement transport. With this I am then also mitgefahren and had to watch as little that the last train was due, were already lost anywhere along the route the figurehead stops, the overhead line will be dismantled and initial construction works are taken.
On Saturday 20 September 2008 to 19 clock, I was able to experience first hand what it is, the passengers of a well-utilized extra-long tram - put (45 feet long NGTD Type 12 DD) in a 18 m long Mercedes-articulated to do. The People were bunched up in advance at the bus stop on Albert Square for a distance that was at least twice as long as the joint bus.
29th September 2008, 13:43 clock. The trains run now because of construction work to Waldschlösschenbrücke and the construction of the access tunnel only to the preliminary final stop North Road. With the help of a switch, the two-directional low-floor trams run to the other track and come back from there to Dresden-Zschertnitz. The end of the short track (it fits on it just a short 30-meter-tram), the red Mark on the ground at. Then there was only asphalt.
These images show the amended road at the forest lodge on 13 Early October 2008 shortly before 7 clock.
Sunday 30 November 2008, 16 clock. The sun sets and the construction site at the Forest Manor area looks quite peaceful. Right in the background the old town of Dresden with the Albert Bridge. Directly behind the Frauenkirche.
8th December 2008. The replacement bus service from the stop North Street (at times even from the train station Dresden-Neustadt), as always, to Bühlau high. This Mercedes bus was designed almost 20 years old.
28th December 2008. The cars fight their way through the maze. The road is sometimes very narrow and winding. Occasionally, larger vehicles such as trucks, buses and the replacement of traffic, stop at one place and let oncoming traffic pass, so little space is available next to the site for the eastern tunnel entrance. Since I did not want to trade with the bus drivers.
7th March 2009. During the spring rises to the Elbe and the newly constructed pillar of the new Waldschlösschenbrücke (center) are bathed by the water, although they are actually on the Elbe. The second photo (which I've also quickly out of the passing bus) you can see the spot where the new Elbe crossing goes, just from one bank to another. In the foreground the base is seen to rest on the northern bridge spans the Waldschlösschenbrücke is. The traffic is coming from a tunnel that comes out just below the point where I am located. Then follow the currently standing in the water columns. And the gray concrete part, on the other side of the river is the base for the local approach bridge.
A richly decorated for the replacement bus line 11, in this case, a recently articulated by the Polish producer Solaris (but too bad the buses are not) loads on 10 April 2009, shortly after noon, the passengers waiting at the stop line 11 North street, which are about 3 minutes with No. 11 arrived from the city center here.
On 15 April 2009 it looks on the road in the area of Bautzen stop Angelika street right in the morning to 5 clock wild. The vehicles can or must be in both directions take the southern road, while the northern and centrally located support brackets Telle for bus and rail is under construction. is
At the last stop in Bühlau 19 April 2009 A new Mercedes Citaro articulated bus with a design package (looks almost like the 4-axle capacity, see the picture of the capacity in Dresden-Bühlau 21 September 2007 below) ready (instead of the usually traffic-border tram), only to return as a line EV11 can bring passengers to the northern road, where they then change to tram / need to continue to come to the city center.
wait few minutes stay in the North Street (behind the Mercedes Probefahrtbus already the next bus, this time a Solaris), the bus driver then deal with the nearly 20-minute route to Bühlau high. If the jam is too bad, there was sometimes so fast not a short break to drivers. The bus operates during the peak hours every 7.5 minutes to the higher absorption capacity of this traffic ends 45-meter-long trams catch something. (Picture of 20 April 2009)
On 30 May 2009 just 20 clock has just one bus line EV11 the place happened in the northern access road tunnel has now been excavated ready.
worm also use the Bautzner road just here on the 26th June 2009 can be seen at noon (equal to the stop at the White Eagle). Fortunately correctly on the sidewalk because the road is Bautzner in this area very busy. On the left an old yellow bus of Mercedes can be seen the line EV 11, which is moving into the city towards the North Road station.
third July 2009 shortly before 17 clock: The days of the old depot in Dresden are Bühlau A few months ago has finally. The time of full closure of the route for the trams have used the Dresden Transport to rehabilitate the tracks on big parts. Here we have then the same old course completely removed so that the trams can not head for the depot.
looks very idyllic and the shelter of the bus stop at the depot Bühlau (into town stop) on the same day from behind. Perhaps it is because until a few months there right next to a flower shop was found. Meanwhile, there is however a Insurance agency confiscated.
On 8 July 2009 at 4 clock in the morning it is still rather quiet drive on the streets, only a two-directional tram 11 straight over to the bus stop for the temporary replacement of traffic at the railway station Dresden-Neustadt. The line 11 has only briefly used this station, namely, when the bus of the EV 11 are already gone up from the railway station Dresden-Neustadt to Bühlau.
On 10 July 2009, finally The first part (left) of the new Waldschlösschenbrücke in Dresden on a low loader (right) arrived from Belgium, where they have been welded together. Meanwhile, today on 30 November 2009, the entire bridge already assembled almost done / welded together. By February next year, they will then rest on their piers on the river Elbe. The traffic can however take place until 2011, when the two bridge spans are installed and all necessary works are completed.
a tram line 11 waiting on 12 July 2009 to 18 clock on the short section of track on the north road on their way back to Zschertnitz. The bus stop on the busy road was protected by traffic signals.
This position (right picture) near the forest castle was the closest during the construction period. Recorded on Sunday 26 , 2009, at 7 clock. This had to wait for the buses at times when oncoming traffic was. This one has then to defuse in time a bit by bit, the metal wall of the tunnel (the site behind the road) at an offset, so that gave rise to two full lanes. In the background, such as in the middle, is also seen to have a tram (the yellow / black object), which waits to be implemented at the bus stop north road to accommodate the (mostly full) bus of the replacement traffic from Bühlau and into the city to . bring Click to enlarge Click on the picture.
On 2 September 2009 shortly after 7 clock is in the midst of the construction site at the forest lodge has already been a part of the tram route mitsamst the tracks finished concrete.
On 8 September 2009, I catch one of the backordered new 45-meter Dresden trams for a test drive on the new route of the line 7 in Dresden-Gompitz. The 2833 will also serve as yet following 12 tracks (up to number 2843) heavily used routes in Dresden. It goes from line 7 and "our" 11
S-curve road at the chicane on the Bautzner Waldchlösschen on 13 Early September 2009 to 8 clock. Here were also often the Solaris spare buses traffic on the uneven track very loudly.
On 30 September, the cars now have the new road surface on the Bautzner road use at the forest lodge. The construction of the railway tracks is progressing well already and the existing road (pictured in front of the railway tracks) can now also be renewed, so that there can drive the vehicles later in the city (to the right in the picture), while the road from behind the rails only to vehicles in landward direction (left) can be used. In the background of the picture is growing with the help of the crane, the new bridge. Before you can see the concrete pier foundations.
Also on 30 September 2009 can be admired alongside the River Elbe at Dresden Altstadt side of the progress in assembling the new Waldschlösschenbrücke (at close).
On 28 October 2009 I am waiting for lunch at the terminus of the line 11 in Dresden-Bühlau in an old Mercedes bus traffic to the spare, which he finally starts to move (even if my leg to see in the picture: I do not do anything dirty).
On 27 November 2009, the assembly of the new Waldschlösschenbrücke advanced. On the left you can see below the castle grounds and woods above the bridge base, including the new tunnel exit hole of the eastern tunnel to Bautzner street.
Also on 27 November 2009 is now already the 38th 45-meter track arrived in Dresden (the 2838) and also runs the station Dresden-Neustadt by their practice rounds. Hopefully I can soon welcome a ride on the line 11 and.
And on 28 November 2009 was it finally happened:
The tram runs 11 in Dresden for more than 14 months of complete closure again railraod back from Zschertnitz Bühlau and after.
The picture shows the 2802 (45-meter tram NGTD 12 DD) at the station depot Bühlau clock to 8:18. You should now rename really slow. The depot is no longer used, and in a few Months to be built on that site for a new indoor pool in this corner of Dresden at the edge of the Dresdner Heide, so that it will probably be demolished.
So, that was a few pictures to the tram line 11 and to the construction site Waldschlösschenbrücke that I myself have received in the last 3 years with my two cell phones.
I hope you liked it.
does well.

Is It Ok To Smoke Weed If You Have A Popped Blood
Finally the tram line 11 in Dresden again until after Bühlau!
Hello!
Now it is again so far, the tram line in Dresden 11 runs from today (November 28, 2009) finally back up after Bühlau and back to Zschertnitz:
have almost 15 months I 19 September 2008 at 17:37 clock made this picture, which shows the last tram in front of the line blocking:
much has happened during the time when I take the tram every day, some of which mercilessly take crowded buses had to spare.
But now it's finally over, and two beautiful Girls have presented to me on behalf of the DVB (Dresden Transport) today announced a golden Christmas tree ball with a trailer of the DVB (Thank you for your patience ... and wish you a Merry Christmas) in the tram line 11, to thank them for their loyalty and at the same time to apologize for the inconvenience.
Now it rumbles while back on the street (which I hear from my room even though my window opposite of the Bautzner road and here in fact the track was also replaced) but that is dearer to me than, for example, off at North Street still waiting for the bus or tram and ever shall now again a more calm and continuity.
Maybe I put in the next days, a few pictures showing the changes and construction work along the line 11 and the Waldschlösschenbrücke in recent months.
It's finally over!
wish a safe journey
